Reactive Entrance Heater Replacement – London
Reactive maintenance • FM support
Scammell Electrical Solutions was called to a London building entrance where the over-door heater had failed. The unit was removed, a replacement heater was installed and connected, and the controls were tested before handover. The works were carried out outside normal opening hours so the main entrance remained available during the building's working day.

The issue
The existing over-door entrance heater serving the main entrance was no longer serviceable. Because it sits directly above the entrance doors, any works had to be planned around access to the building.

Our response
We attended and isolated the existing supply, removed the failed unit from its high-level mounting position and prepared the fixings and electrical connection for the replacement.

On site
The replacement heater was installed above the entrance doors, connected via a local isolator and set up with its wall-mounted controller.
The result
The new entrance heater was installed, connected, tested and left in working order, with the entrance back in normal use. The work was completed outside opening hours to avoid disruption to the premises.
