EV charger installation in Essex & London
A home charger needs a suitable supply and a practical cable route as well as the charging unit itself. We assess your parking space and existing electrics, agree the installation in writing, then test and commission the charger before handover.
Step 1
Assess the property and supply
Tell us where you park, the charger you have in mind and whether access is shared. We check the proposed cable route, supply, consumer unit and existing demand, then discuss protection and load management. Any additional electrical work or groundworks is identified in the quotation.
Step 2
Install the agreed setup
We agree access and planned power interruptions, install the dedicated circuit and suitable protection, and fit the charger with the cable route set out in the quotation. The scope depends on your property, including the distance between the supply and parking space.
Step 3
Test, commission and hand over
We test the electrical installation, check the agreed load monitoring and connectivity, and demonstrate the charger and app controls where applicable. Relevant certification and any required notification are addressed as part of the handover.
A completed Hypervolt installation in Laindon
At this Basildon home, we installed a new dedicated supply, surface-mounted conduit and RCBO protection. A CT clamp at the meter provided load monitoring back to the charger, allowing the system to respond to the property's electrical demand.
